Jump in to your curling season at our Open bonspiel, Friday September 5 – Sunday September 7. Parksville CC is the proud host club of the 55+ BC Games Ice Curling event and we’re hosting a no-frills bonspiel the weekend before the Games. Join us for great ice and fun competition, and enjoy Parksville’s lovely beachside location.

• Open format – no restrictions on team composition
• 24 teams
• Modified Brandon draw
• 6 end games
• 5 game guarantee, set schedule – 1 game Friday late afternoon / evening, 2 games Saturday, 2 games Sunday
• No banquet, no entertainment, no prizes – we’re saving up our volunteer efforts for the 55+ BC Games!
• Concession and bar will be open

$200 per team entry fee
Register early - we expect this spiel to fill up quickly! Registration and payment must be completed online by August 24. Teams are not registered until payment is received.

The Thrifty Foods Open Bonspiel is brought to you by Thirfty Foods and the Parksville Curling Club. This year's event is an Open Format (meaning teams can be a mix of any genders, juniors curler & not-so-junior curlers too) and brings together twelve teams competing for a chance to win the Bob Hawkes Memorial Trophy.

The 'Spiel runs from November 28–30 and costs $400 per team.

There is a Thirfty Foods Men's Bonspiel (a Sweeper's Cup qualifier) running at the same time. More details on this companion event can be found here.
