Try curling's most exciting format! Don't want to get up and sweep your own rock? You don't have to! Your partner can sweep or you can have no sweeper. Individual registrations are welcome — we'll do our best to find you a partner.
In doubles curling each two-person team plays with six stones, one of which is positioned in play before the start of the end. Of the five stones each team delivers during an end, one player throws the first and last stone while the other player must throw the three in between. No stone, including those in the house, can be removed from play prior to the delivery of the fourth stone of an end.

What is the 3-6-6 Curling format?
The 3-6-6 Recreational League comprises 3 curlers, 6 rocks and 6 ends. Each team has a designated Lead, Vice and Skip who maintain those positions throughout the game. Each player throws 2 rocks each end. The player not delivering the rock can sweep the entire length of the sheet.
The Free Guard Zone rule: the first 3 stones thrown cannot be removed from play no matter where they sit in the playing area, until the 4th rock is thrown.

What is the Sturling format? Sturling is the official name for the two (2) player team sport of curling, bringing together stick, slide and wheelchair curling formats.
Sturling league rules will follow the two (2) player stick rule format.
Six (6) ends – each player throws all rocks for (3) ends, with their teammate at the opposite end holding the broom. There is NO sweeping down the centreline between the hog lines.

Recreational Friday Evening 7:00 pm - Open Winter (March) League Learn To Curl version ($60)

Winter Fees of $60.
This league is meant for people who have completed the Winter Learn To Curl program. After Learn To Curl ends we encourage you to join the Friday Night Rec League so that you can put your new skills to practice. Rec League runs on the same day and time as Learn To Curl — Fridays at 7pm.
The dates for the remainder of Rec League are: March 6, 13, 20, 27.
Rec League is our most affordable league—at just $15 per game. The four weeks of Rec League only cost $60 + GST.

The Recreational League is perfect for curlers looking for a fun, social league. If you're new to town, or want to play in a non-competitive fun league you're in the right place!
If you have taken a Learn to Curl program and are ready to enjoy more relaxed gameplay with a focus on basic rules this is the place for you.
This league offers a casual and supportive environment where players can integrate into club play, develop their skills further, and gain confidence on the ice. With an emphasis on fun, sportsmanship, and community, it provides an ideal platform for curlers looking to enjoy regular games, meet new people, and experience the club’s vibrant curling culture without the pressure of intense competition.
Instructors will be available to offer advice, help refine your skills, and see that a good time is has by all.
Sign up Individually or as a pair. Teams will be drawn each night so you'll get to play with everyone in the league at some point in the season.
There is a Winter Rec League as well that starts in January. You can sign up for one or both leagues, as suits your schedule.
As well we have a Winter Novice League istarting in January on Sundays that is the perfect place for people looking to expand their skills.
Be prepared with:
- Clean rubber-soled shoes (carry into the club). You may not wear outside shoes onto the ice.
- Warm loose-fitting clothing; sweatpants, sweatshirt, joggers, etc.
- Your own equipment is recommended but all equipment is available at the club.
- Personal head protection is recommended and available from our Pro Shop.
- Gloves - it's cold on the ice!
