Teams are built based on the Team of Choice system, which means you can join as a full team or an individual. 

Pacific Coast Masters Curling Association (PCMCA) 60+ designated League. Our season spans from September to March, pausing for a break around Christmas. A PCMCA fee will be applied. 

Spares:   Should your Skip be not available to play a game, you may replace the skip with another Skip, but they must throw first or second rocks.    

Please use players from 5 person teams as spares first, then if none available, go the spare list.

This league offers a fun and inclusive environment for curlers of all skill levels, from veterans to novices. We strive to balance teams with players of similar experience, ensuring competitive play while prioritizing fun, learning, and social interaction.

We have a session ending fun game followed by appies and drinks at which time the winning team is presented their prize  by our sponsor, Nancy Douglas.

This lady's Out of the Hat (OoH) is a Pacific Coast Masters Curling Association (PCMCA) 60+ designated league. A PCMCA fee will be applied. 

Out of the Hat builds its teams by random draw.

The Super Cash League is one of Vancouver Island's premier curling leagues, hosted at the Parksville Curling Club. It welcomes competitive teams across all categories, from Juniors to Seniors and everything in between. Most teams are focused on preparing for their respective playdowns, whether in Men’s, Ladies, Juniors, Seniors, or Mixed divisions. Specifically showcasing many of the province's top senior teams, making it a hub for high-level competition and talent development. 

The Super Cash league is an open league where Teams are built based on the Team of Choice system, which means you can join as a full team or an individual.

This Open-Mixed league teams requires at least one member from each gender (examples: 1 & 3 or 2 & 2 for 4 person teams). 

The Team of Choice Mixed Curling League offers a welcoming environment for curlers of all experience levels to compete in mixed teams. Participants can join as a full team or sign up individually to be placed on a team. 

This league provides a great opportunity to enjoy the sport with friends or meet new teammates while experiencing the fun and competitive spirit of mixed curling. Whether you're looking to sharpen your skills or enjoy a social game, this league brings together a diverse group of curlers for an engaging and dynamic season.

Curlers playing in the current season, have priority for the following season. For those wanting to join this league, it is done on a “first come first serve” basis when Registration opens. A waitlist will be compiled if necessary. You will be notified as soon as possible as Registration progresses.

TEAMS– Each player must do their own registration by selecting “Team” not “Individual”. Please be sure to identify who is playing which position and if your team is looking to fill a position. Fill in as much information that you can.

INDIVIDUALS – If you are looking to join a team, please register “Individual” not “Team” and be sure to indicate your position preference. Your name will be forwarded to any Skips looking to complete their teams.

Each week you'll play a full two-hour game, with coaches on hand throughout to offer tips and keep things moving. Depending on registration, some teams may also have a more experienced player mixed in to help the whole team level up.

After the game, head to the Rock'n Broom Bar — because post-game socializing is half the fun.

How it works:

• Four mini-seasons of 5 weeks each — play one, a few, or all four
• Sign up solo (we'll place you on a team), as a full team of four, or as a partial team looking to fill a spot or two
• Registration closes once we hit capacity, so don't wait

Oh, and you'll need a team name. We're talking Hack Sabbath, Drawing A Blank, Get Your Sheet Together — the puntential is unlimited. Matching jerseys encouraged!

This Pacific Coast Masters Curling Association (PCMCA) is a 60+ designated league. A PCMCA fee will be applied.

This is a Team of Choice league and individuals can enter and be paired with another player if there is one, however priority is given to  complete teams that have registered.

Learn To Curl Friday Evening 7:00 pm - Fall

Ready to try curling?

Whether you've never set foot on the ice or just haven't played in years, our Learn To Curl program is the friendliest way in. Over five Friday evenings you'll go from complete beginner to calling strategy, sweeping hard, and making shots you didn't think were possible.

Each two-hour session builds real skills — delivering a rock, sweeping technique, game strategy, teamwork, and understanding positions. All the equipment is provided. All you need to bring is yourself.

What to wear & bring:

• Warm gloves and a toque or hat (it's cold out there — in the best way)
• Comfortable, stretchy layers
• A refillable water bottle — it's drier than you'd expect on the ice, and we have filtered water on site

After each session, stick around — the bar is open and your new curling friends will be waiting.

$98 + tax gets you 10 hours of instruction and game play, plus all equipment included.

Whether you're new to town, fresh out of a Learn to Curl program, or just want a league where the vibe matters as much as the scoreline, you've found your home ice.

The season is split into four mini-seasons, and you'll have a set team for each one — then new teams are drawn for the next, so over the full season you'll share the ice with lots of different people. Come as a solo or bring a friend; either way, you'll leave with more.

And at the end of each mini-season? Craig Street pizza and Mount Arrowsmith beer in the Rock'n Broom Lounge.You're welcome.

Coaches and instructors are on the ice throughout, ready to help you sharpen your game and make sure everyone's having fun. It's the kind of league where you get genuinely better without it ever feeling like work.

• Clean rubber-soled shoes (carry them in — no outside shoes on the ice)
• Warm, loose-fitting layers — sweats, joggers, a cozy sweatshirt
• Gloves — it gets cold out there

• Head protection is recommended and available from our Pro Shop

Mount Arrowsmith Brewing Open Friday Fun League 7:00 pm - Mini Season 4 (Fees $125)

Juniors' Monday Afternoon 3:45 pm - Open Annual League (Annual Fees $100)

Junior Curling League 

Eligibility:  Anyone between the ages of 10 and 18 years of age, as of December 31 2025, may attend. Junior League members are encouraged to bring a friend to try curling together.

Cost:    $100 + GST ($5.00)
            (Curlers 13 years of age and OVER as of Dec 31, 2025  must also pay GST, Curl BC Fee of $22.00 and Curling Canada Fee of $5.00)

Registration:  Online registration begins in August.  

Curling Times:  Starts Monday, October 6, 2025. Juniors curling runs Mondays from 3:45 pm to 5:15 pm. 

League Format:  Warm-up/Practice slides and Throws/Drills/Games

Instructors will help novice and experienced youth curlers, explaining the game, various drills to improve deliveries and instruction during ends of play.

Footwear and Clothing:  CLEAN, flat rubber- soled running shoes, CARRIED TO THE RINK and comfortable/warm clothing (sweat, stretchy or track pants are best). 
You will not be permitted on the ice with shoes that have been worn to the rink.  Some used curling shoes are available for the season on a loan basis – first come first served.

Equipment:  It is not necessary to purchase any equipment for the beginner curler as we have step-on sliders, brooms, stabilizers and some grippers available. Limited selection of curling shoes, on a first come first served basis are also available.  Slip on grippers, sliders, curling shoes and brooms can be purchased from the Nanaimo Curling Club and a small selection at Qualicum Beach Curling Club. Should you decide to purchase your own gripper and slider, be sure to take with you the footwear you plan to use as important to guarantee a tight fit.  

NOTE:  All curlers 12 years of age or younger – RECOMMENDED to wear a helmet all times on ice. Curlers 10 years and younger must wear a helmet on the ice.
