Friday July 10th - Saturday Aug. 15th.
PCC has signed up to provide a crew of ‘Goodwill Gate Ambassadors’ for the Quality Foods Sand Sculpting Competition & Exhibition again this year. Our job is to staff the gates and greet visitors during the Competition weekend and 5-week Exhibition. In exchange for our volunteer time during the Exhibition, PCC will share in the proceeds from the donations collected at the gate.
The shifts are almost the same as last year, and you are welcome to pick the same shifts if you volunteered last year :
- Fri. July 10 – 4:45pm–8:45pm
- Tues. July 21 – 4:45pm–8:45pm
- Mon. July 27 – 1:00pm–5:00pm
- Thurs. July 30 – 1:00pm–5:00pm
- Mon. Aug. 3 – 4:45pm–8:45pm
- Sat. Aug. 8 – 9:15am–1:15pm
- Sat. Aug. 15 – 4:45pm–8:15pm
- Sat. Aug. 15 – 8:00pm–11:15pm
The Saturday, August 15 shift is the night that the castles are lit up at night and the fireworks are on, so it should be a busy night.
Volunteers work in groups of 7, and new volunteers are working with people who have done it before. Please give it a try as it's lots of fun.
