The Board of Directors at its May 2023 meeting approved a new Mission and Values statement for the Club:

PARKSVILLE CURLING CLUB

OUR MISSION

We are committed to providing affordable and accessible recreational and competitive curling opportunities for people of all ages, abilities and skill levels. We seek to promote good sporting behaviour, skills development, healthy lifestyle opportunities, diversity, inclusivity and rewarding social experiences in a welcoming, community minded environment.

OUR VALUES

We will:

  • promote curling as a sport for all ages that fosters physical health and mental well-being.
  • support the Strategic Priorities of our partner, the City of Parksville, by providing a well-maintained recreational facility with superior playing conditions.
  • provide an open and inclusive management style that promotes active involvement and input by all Club members.
  • continue to recognize that volunteerism provides the cornerstone for all activities within our Club.
  • ensure the long-term viability of our Club by being prudent fiscal managers, developing strong community partnerships, continually seeking out opportunities to grow our membership and working diligently to retain our valued membership base.
  • provide skills development opportunities so that our members can continue to grow their skills in the sport at both the recreational and competitive levels.

The above statements provide the foundation upon which the Parksville Curling Club will build into the future.
